Proposing a design solution for inefficiencies in the workplace
While employed as a junior designer at NDD Infosystems, I was approached by a fellow developer who recognized significant workflow inefficiencies at an audiovisual service company. The company was relying on Excel spreadsheets to manage event logistics with over 500 employees at various events across North America.
This was a side project that involved prototyping and presenting a proposal for an internal web app that addresses inefficiencies in equipment inventory, task tracking, and team management. Although the proposal was rejected due to budgeting complications (it's ok, I'm over it), I gained experience in breaking down internal workflows, refining information architecture—and of course, handling rejection.
